The WBJEEB has been announced to conduct JECA 2026 examination for the academic session 2026-27 for admission to MCA in the state of West Bengal since it is the only block in the state where the board has the authority. According to the notification, the starting date for the online application is April 9, 2026, and qualified aspirants may submit their applications at the official website.
The OMR-based entrance exam is scheduled to be held on June 14, 2026 (Sunday). Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree (including final-year students) can apply to secure seats in top state institutes offering MCA programmes.

Exam Pattern
The JECA 2026 exam will be held as a pen and paper-based test (offline mode) for 2 hours in English. The question paper will be made up of 100 multiple choice questions: splits as follows:
Category I: 80 questions (1 mark each, negative marking of 0.25)
Category II: 20 questions — 2 marks each (no negative marking)
