The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will release the results for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 on 19th March 2026 (tomorrow). The GATE entrance exam 2026 was conducted on 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th February 2026 across the designated centers in two shifts from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates who have appeared for the GATE entrance exam can check their results at GOAPS. Apart from this, IIT Guwahati has already uploaded the final answer key on 16th March 2026, and the GATE scorecard will contain the marks for each section, total score, and All India Rank (AIR). However, only candidates who score equal to or above the official cutoff marks will receive a scorecard. Also, the challenge windows remained open from 25th February 2026 to 15th March 2026, providing the facility to raise an objection against any discrepancy in the provisional answer keys and response sheets. Step 1: Go to the official website, which is https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in/.
Step 2: Now, on the homepage, click on the link provided for the GOAPS portal.
Step 3: Fill out all the important details like Enrolment ID and password
Step 4: Enter the numeric value and click on submit to complete the login process.
Step 5: Select the view result option and check the scores.
Step 6: Also save the PDF of the results for future use.
Candidates must keep in mind that the board will release the results of only those candidates who secured the qualifying mark in GATE 2026, and only qualified candidates will be eligible for the counselling process.
GATE 2026 Scorecard Dates
IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 scorecard for qualified candidates starting from 27th March 2026. Students can download their scorecard from GOAPS using their enrollment ID until 31st May 2026, for free, and after that, scorecards can still be downloaded until 31st December 2026 with a fee of INR 500.
The scorecard is valid for 3 years, which can be used for MTech admissions as well as PSU job applications and studying at government institutions like IITs. Apart from this, IIT Guwahati, as well as other IITs, will start their registration process for GATE COAP counselling 2026 soon, on their official website. Moreover, IISc Bangalore has started the registration process, and the last date to apply is 31st March 2026
