Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Collegiate Education has announced the admission schedule for undergraduate courses in Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science (TNGASA 2026)Colleges across the State. The registration window for the academic year 2026-27 will be open till 29th May, 2026. This year, around 181 government arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu will offer 159 UG programs with a total of 1,26,959 seats. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the UG programs can apply for various UG courses through the official website.
Some of the popular UG courses offered by the students include BSc, BA, B.Com, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Commerce, English Literature, and Economics. The government has also started a ‘course code’ system that will allow students to choose the course and medium of instruction, including Tamil or English.
Students who are eligible and interested in taking admission in any of the Arts and Science colleges in Tamil Nadu can apply through the official website. If they are unable to apply online, they can apply through the Admission Facilitation Centres (AFCs) that are set up in all the Government Arts & Science Colleges.
