The National Testing Agency will begin the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 from today, 11th May 2026. It is a computer-based exam and will continue till 31st May 2026 in multiple shifts. The exam is being conducted for 37 subjects and will help the students get admission into the UG courses of the Central Universities and other participating institutions.
Moreover, the CUET UG 2026 entrance exam will be conducted in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM across India and in 14 international cities across 13 countries. Each shift will cover eight subjects. For the first day, the exam will be based on subjects like English, Accountancy or Bookkeeping, Business Studies, Economics, History, Political Science, Chemistry, Geography, Computer Science or Informatics Practices, and Sociology.
CUET UG 2026 Exam Reporting Time
Candidates who are appearing for the CUET UG 2026 exam are advised to report to the examination centre two hours before the exam begins. They are also advised to check their shift timings in the CUET UG 2026 hall ticket. The gates of the exam centre will close 30 minutes before the scheduled time, after which no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall.

CUET UG 2026 Dress Code
According to the CUET UG dress code guidelines issued by the NTA, a simple dress code has been recommended to the students. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to wear light-coloured clothes, avoid complex accessories, and wear normal footwear. However, religious items, including faith-based threads, are allowed.
