The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has officially released the new schedule of the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026, which includes both first-year (Junior Inter) and second-year (Senior Inter) students. The revised timetable, which is on the official website, has been structured to facilitate a smooth running of exams and also take into consideration the students' complaints of conflicting dates with national-level entrance tests.

IPE 2026: Key Highlights of the Revised Timetable

  • Practical Exams: To be held between February 2 and February 21, 2026, in two sessions, morning (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).

  • English Practicals: They will be administered to first-year students on January 21, 2026, and second-year students on January 22, 2026.

  • Theory Exams:

    • The first year exams will start on February 25, 2026, and end on March 17, 2026.

    • For the second year, exams begin on February 26, 2026, and conclude on March 18, 2026.

  • Streams Covered: Science, Commerce, and Arts - subject-wise dates are well defined in the official PDF schedule.

Special Relief for JEE Main Students

The special provision for students appearing in JEE Main 2026 is one of the most important announcements. The board made it clear that in case any Intermediate practical exam conflicts with the JEE Main schedule, alternative arrangements will be made. This will make sure that the students do not miss their board practicals or the crucial national-level engineering entrance test. This step has been largely accepted by both students and parents as it will reduce stress during the already stressful time of the exam season.

IPE 2026: Hall Ticket and Accessibility

The board has also assured that the hall tickets will be issued by next month. TGBIE is also launching a new program in an attempt to improve transparency and parental engagement. Hall tickets will be sent to the registered WhatsApp numbers of the parents. This will enable the families to preview and confirm the student information long before the examinations.

Student-Friendly Highlights

Since the exam dates are now fixed, students are advised to prepare in advance by developing a systematic revision schedule that would allow them to balance between preparation for board subjects and entrance exams. To keep updated on the situation and to avoid misunderstandings, it is necessary to download the official PDF schedule on tgbie.cgg.gov.in and to notify their institutions in time in case of any clash in examinations, so they can take advantage of the special relief measures and alternative options offered by the board.
