The new schedule was announced through an official statement, changing the position of two major papers but leaving the rest of the schedule intact.
The Class 10 exam, which was scheduled to be conducted on March 3, will now be held on March 11. Similarly, the Class 12 Legal Studies paper, originally scheduled for March 17, will now be conducted on April 10. The changes are to prevent clashes of the festivals and to provide smooth administration of exams.

Why the Revision?
The board explained that the changes were required because of:
Holi festival on the day when the original Class 10 exam was to be held.
Administrative modifications are needed in Class 12 Legal Studies.
Organizing a smooth running of exams in centers throughout the country.
Impact on Students
The new dates are a relief and a longer deadline for students:
Class 10 students have an additional week to revise their paper.
Students of Class 12 Legal Studies now have almost a month of additional revision.
Very little disturbance in general, as the disturbance is limited to two papers.
