This has now been officially declared by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana (BSE-Telangana) as the schedule of fee payments in the forthcoming SSC public examinations scheduled to be held in March 2026. As thousands of students prepare to take the board test, the board has indicated the necessity of keeping a schedule to prevent the late-fee charges.
As per the notification of the board, all the regular and private candidates wishing to appear in the March 2026 SSC exam are to submit their exam fee by the cutoff date in their respective schools. Though the full breakdown (with different slabs of late fees) is not released yet, previous schedules imply that students need to make an attempt to pay it considerably in advance.
As an example, when considering the SSC 2025 cycle, the last date with no late fee was November 18, above which slabs on surcharges began to apply. In the most recent notice, BSE-Telangana has highlighted that the schools will collect the fee charged to candidates and pay it through online treasury within the given timeframe. Any delay can lead to an increase in the amount payable or even jeopardize the candidature of the student. The board has approximately 12 lakh students who are expected to take SSC examinations this year and the administration has encouraged principals, students and guardians to be on high alert.
Why This Matters Now
The SSC examinations of March 2026 should take place during March-April, and the schedule will probably be published at the end of 2025. Considering this schedule, timely payment of the fee means hassle-free registration, eligibility for admit cards, and disruption of seating arrangements. Students who fail to meet deadlines pay late fee surcharges. Students can still pay the late fee if they missed the initial deadline, Rs 50 from 15 to 29 November and Rs 200 from December 15 to 29, and more according to the time of making payment.
Check Students Need to Check and Act
Confirm fee amount: Make sure that the amount of your fee is accurate for your category (regular/private/vocational).
Note Deadlines: Set the final date of payment without a late fee and consecutive slabs.
Receipt: As soon as you have paid to your school, make sure that you are given a receipt to keep.
Monitor School Remittance: The school would be in charge of submitting the collected fee to the treasury of BSE-Teangana.
Prepare Documents: The enrollment form, photograph and parents/guardian signature are usually required as you present the form to the school.
Student and Parental Guidance
According to teaching experts, there is no time to make corrections at the last moment because of board exam logistics. Make sure that the fee is paid certainly, since any form of delay usually leads to late issuance of hall-tickets or allotment of secondary exam centres, said a senior teacher in Hyderabad. Schools also request to verify that the name of students, date of birth and medium of instruction were typed properly- otherwise an incongruence can cause problems on exam day.
Also, candidates who take vocational courses or multiple subjects could be charged separately; variant fee-heads (such as vocational subjects) should be made clear at an early stage.
