BITSAT 2026 Registration Extension: Check Updated Correction Dates, Exam Dates, and Key Details

BITSAT, the entrance examination conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani. The registration process for the BITSAT 2026 Session 1 has been extended. All interested students can now register for the examination by the 19th of March 2026. Aspiring engineering students are offered that one final opportunity to submit their application forms without any late fees. This exam is conducted by the institute to admit students to its undergraduate program. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the registration process before the deadline through the official website. 

According to official portals, the application window for Session 1 or both sessions is set to close on March 19, 2026, at 5 PM. All interested students must complete registration by filling out the application form, uploading all required documents, and paying the application fee to submit their forms. Authorities have also advised applicants not to wait until the last moment to avoid technical issues during submission.

Why the Extension Matters

The institute has extended its registration deadline without any late fees for the students who may have missed the earlier deadline because of their examinations or lack of the required set of documents. The extension of registration will now ensure equal participation and opportunity offered to all deserving students. 

BITSAT 2026 Application Fee Details

The fees for the application submission vary depending on the number of sessions chosen and the category of the candidate. The fee for candidates who are willing to apply for only one session is INR 3,600 for male applicants, INR 3,100 for female applicants and the transgender applicants. The candidates who are registering for both sessions are required to pay INR 5,600 for male applicants and INR 4,600 for female and transgender applicants. Candidates opting for the Dubai test centre have a higher application fee, usually INR 7,250 for one session only and for both sessions, the registration fees are INR 9,250. 

BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The students who are applying for the BITSAT 2026 must have completed their Class 12 examination with a minimum of 75% marks in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Also, the students must score 60% marks in each of these subjects individually.

Additionally, first-rankers of State and Central boards in India are eligible for direct admission to the programme of their choice at BITS campuses, provided they meet the basic eligibility requirements.

Step 1:The interested students are requested to visit the official website. 

Step 2:Students are supposed to click on the BITSAT 2026 registration link.

Step 3:To begin the process of registration, the student must use a valid email ID and mobile number.

Step 4:After logging in, the students are advised to complete the registration process by filling out the personal and academic details.

Step 5:Along with the details, the students are also supposed to upload the required set of academic documents, including a photograph and signature.

Step 6:Once they have completed the details, students also get a chance to choose their preferred exam centre.

Step 7:To complete the registration process, the applicant is required to pay the application fee and submit the form.
