The notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2025 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its official website, opening the door for 3,131 recruits. The application process started on 23 June and will go on till 18 July. The application fee, however, can be paid till 19 July 2025. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay a fee of INR 100, while reserved category and female applicants will be exempt from paying any application fee. 

The SSC CHSL exam will be held in two tiers: the first will be between 8 and 18 September, and the second will be between the months of February and March 2025. The exam will be in computer-based mode. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the exam will be appointed to different group ‘C’ posts. Some of these posts include Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO)

How To Apply For The SSC CHSL 2025 Exam?

Candidates must follow these steps given below to register for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam:

Step 1: Complete the one-time registration process on the old SSC website - ssc.nic.in, if not done yet

Step 2: Visit the official SSC website - ssc.gov.in

Step 3: Look for the ‘SSC CHSL 2025 application’ link and click on it

Step 4: Type in personal and academic details in the respective fields

Step 5: Then upload the signature and required documents

Step 6: Pay the fee of INR 100 (general category); SC, ST, PwBD, or female candidates will not be required to pay any fee

Step 7: Preview the form before submitting
