The government of Delhi has started its registrations for the aspirants who want to get admitted to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, for the academic year of 2026 to 2027. The last date to apply is October 15, 2025. As per a recent notification released by the Directorate of Education, the entrance examination is scheduled for December 7, 2025. RIMC 2026 Admission Eligibility Criteria
The Rashtriya Indian Military College has released the following prerequisites as its eligibility criteria for the entrance examination:
Age: Boys and girls both can apply. Candidates must be between 11.5 and 13 years of age on January 1, 2026. In other words, candidates should be born between January 2nd, 201,3 and July 1st, 2014, inclusive.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must currently be in or have completed Class VII from a recognised school before January 1, 2026.
Medical Fitness: Candidates must pass a medical examination conducted in military hospitals or at designated hospitals for further consideration.
RIMC 2026 Admission Registration Process
Here is a step-by-step registration process for applying to the RIMC 2026 Admissions Entrance Test:
Step 1: First, you have to buy your Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Old Question Papers Booklet by either making an online payment through the RIMC website or sending a written request with a demand draft.
The brochure cost is INR 600/- for General Candidates and INR 555/- for SC/ST Candidates. For demand drafts, the demand draft should be in favour of "THE COMMANDANT RIMC FUND", HDFC Bank, Ballupur Chowk, Dehradun - (Bank Code: 1399), Uttarakhand.” In brackets on your envelope, you should mention your address, including the PIN Code and your contact number clearly.
Step 2: You need to fill out the application forms provided in the prospectus and paste a photograph, signed by you.
Step 3: You will have to submit a copy of your Birth Certificate, a Copy of the Domicile Certificate, an SC/ST Certificate, even if issued after 1st of January of the past year, a passing out certificate from the school you currently attend, an Aadhar Card Copy, and two passport-size photos.
Step 4: After you have filled out the application form and assembled the documents, including all of the other requirements, you need to submit your application form, along with documents, to your state government or union territory administration. Please remember not to send them directly to RIMC. The deadlines for applying are different, so always check the dates of the specific notification before the term.
