The National Testing Agency (NTA) has again extended the deadline for the fee refund portal for the NEET UG entrance exam conducted on 3rd May 2026. Now, candidates can view, confirm, correct, or update their bank account details till 31st July 2026. Earlier, the last date for updating the bank details was 14th July 2026, till 11:50 pm.
The NTA has decided to extend the last date for confirming and updating bank details, providing a final opportunity for candidates who have not yet completed the process and are willing to claim their refund. According to the latest notice released by NTA, more than 50% aspirants were unable to update and confirm their bank details due to some technical issues. NTA has also revealed that only 11,46,401 candidates have confirmed their bank account details until July 14, 2026.
In addition to this, NTA has started the refund process for the candidates who have confirmed and updated their bank account details. Apart from this, it is expected that NTA will declare the Re-NEET 2026 results by or before 20th July 2026.
Why has NTA Extended Deadline for the Fee Refund Portal?
On 14th July 2026, NTA released an official notice which states that the last date for the fee refund portal. The decision to extend the deadline provided the last chance to the candidates who had not confirmed, updated, and submitted their bank details for the refund. According to the official notice, only 11,46,401 candidates have submitted their bank details till 14th July 2026 because of technical glitch.
Candidates who are eligible can update and submit the bank details from the official website. In addition to this, if any applicants fail to submit their bank details before the extended deadline can face delays in receiving the refund.

Applicants who missed the last date for the NEET fee-refund can now claim it, as NTA has again extended the last date. In addition to this, candidates can follow the steps given below for a smooth process.
Step 1: Access the official website, which is https://neet.nta.nic.in/.
Step 2: On the homepage, go to the "Candidate Activity" section and click on the link "Confirm/Update Bank Account Details."
Step 3: Login yourself using your Application Number and Password.
Step 4: Enter the OTP for verification.
Step 5: Check the bank details carefully, update them if required, and click on "Confirm Bank Details".
Step 6: Upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque or the first page of a bank passbook showing your account number and IFSC code.
Step 7: Review the information and click "Submit" to complete the process.
NEET 2026: What Candidates Should Do Now?
Applicants who have not submitted or updated their bank details must complete them by 11:50 pm on July 31, 2026. Applicants must complete the verification process before the last date in order to get their fee refunds without any trouble. Aspirants who have appeared for the Re-NEET 2026 can download the OMR sheet and verify their answers through the official NEET website before the announcement of the final answer key. Also, it is expected that the NTA will announce the Re-NEET 2026 results before or on 20th July 2026.
