The hall tickets of the theory examinations to be conducted in April May 2026 have been announced by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). This is a significant development to the students who are planning to take the exams in the following session. It is now possible to download admit cards online through the official site by the candidates taking the Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses. All students will be in a position to access their hall tickets, only those who have successfully paid their examination fees.
Another vital academic rule that has been reiterated by the board is the eligibility in senior secondary examinations. NIOS guidelines state that at least two years must elapse between passing Class 10 and taking Class 12 examination. Those students who fail to do so will have a note written on their hall ticket indicating that they can take at most 4 subjects in the ongoing examination session.
Hall ticket is a very important document and students are expected to carry it to the examination centre. It includes all the necessary information like the name of the student, his/her enrolment number, course, photograph, examination centre, names of the subject and their codes, and date and times of all papers. It also contains valuable instructions, the reporting time and any special remarks concerning the eligibility or subject limitations. It is highly recommended to students to thoroughly check all the information listed on the admit card to prevent any problem during the examination day.
