The Karnataka School of Examination and Assessment Board (KESAB) is set to release the results for the 2nd PUC, Class 12th results on 9th April 2026. As per the prior information, the results for the PUC Class 12th were about to be released on the 7th of April 2026. This delay in the result announcement was seen because of the model code of conduct that happened in the state amid the bye-elections in Karnataka. The students can easily check the result of the examination by visiting the official website of the examination board, kseab.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in.
The examination of Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 was conducted from 28th February 2026 to 17th March 2026. Overall, approximately 7,10,363 students have officially registered for the examination this year from the 5,174 colleges in the entire state. The above data includes 6,46,801 were the first timers, repeat candidates were 50,540, and the students from the private colleges or candidates were 13,022. The examination was conducted in nearly 1,217 centres in the state. The number of registrations according to the streams was: the students from the science background were 2,92,645, from the commerce background 2,11,174, and the students from the arts stream were 1,42,982.
As per the official notice, the Karnataka School of Examination and Assessment Board has reduced the minimum passing percentage from 35% to 30%. All the students who have appeared for the examination are required to score an overall 33% aggregate, including the written, practical, and/or internal scores, to pass the examination.
Last year, the passing percentage was noted to be 84.59%. Out of 6,22,819 registered candidates, 5,26,858 students passed the Karnataka PUC 2 exam 1 in 2024. The results were announced for the previous session on the 8th of April 2025, wherein the girl students outshone with their academic excellence and intellect. The percentage of female candidates who have passed the examination last year was 77.8%, while the passing percentage of male candidates were 68.2%.
How to Check the Result
Once the results are announced, it is very important for all the students who have appeared in the examination to be aware of the steps to follow to access the released results of the 2nd PUC, Class 12th. It is advised that the candidates refer to the steps below to access the results once they are released on the 9th of April 2026:
Step 1: The candidates are supposed to visit the official website of the Karnataka School of Examination and Assessment Board (KESAB).
Step 2: The students are required to log in using their credentials.
Step 3: Then, select the link to access the result of the 2nd PUC, Class 12th.
Step 4: Analyse the result and check the percentage scored. The passing percentage is 30%, and the overall aggregate has to be 33%.
Step 5: Download the result and get the printout of the same for later reference.
