The Medical Council Committee has notified that Round 2 of NEET UG counselling will tentatively start from 29 August 2025. The detailed schedule related to the counselling will be released soon on the official MCC website. Earlier, the registration for round 2 counselling was scheduled to start from 21 August 2025 and would have gone till 26 August 2025
For Round 2 of the counselling, the students will be required to register online and fill in their choices before the deadline. The Medical Counselling Committee is responsible for conducting the NEET UG counselling. After the registration, students had to pay the required counselling fee and lock their choices of seats. Students who will be allotted seats had to report to their colleges within the specified deadline. Many new MBBS seats were added to round 2 of the counselling, giving more students chances to get selected. Those who missed out in Round 1 or wanted a better college can apply again in this round.

Steps to apply for Round 2 of the Counselling
Step 1- Students looking to take part in Round 2 of the counselling process will have to go to the official website of the MCC https://mcc.nic.in/
Step 2- On the page, look out for the NEET UG 2025 link and click on it.
Step 3- Fill in the required details on the portal and enter all the details to log in.
Step 4- After logging in, register yourself by entering personal, educational details and selecting the seat preferences.
Step 5- Review all the details filled and click on the final submit button.
Step 6- Take a printout of the final document for the admission process.
Who is eligible To Apply For Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2025?
Students who fall in one of the categories below are eligible to apply for round 2 of the counselling.
Students who have not registered or participated in Round 1of the counselling process.
Those students who have registered for Round 1 but were not allotted a seat in the counselling.
Students who were allotted a seat in Round 1 of the counselling but did not report to the allotted college.
Students who want to upgrade their allotted seat in Round 1
