The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially started the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registrations for eligible candidates. The counselling is being conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses through 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. MCC has also released the Round 1 seat matrix for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. The seats include colleges such as AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities, deemed universities and other medical institutes across India.

Candidates must note that the MCC Round 1 registration last date is 12 August 2026. Students can fill and lock their college choices during this period. The NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result will be out on 17 August 2026.

At the same time, NEET UG counselling is also beginning in several states. Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have announced updates related to their counselling process.

NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates must remember that MCC only conducts the counselling for the 15% All India Quota seats and the remaining 85% state quota seats are filled through respective state counselling authorities. How to Register for NEET UG Counselling 2026?

Students who are eligible for MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 can follow these simple steps to complete their Round 1 registration.

Step 1: Go to the MCC official website by clicking on https://mcc.nic.in/

Step 2: Select the “UG Medical Tab” from the homepage.

Step 3: Click on the “New Registration for UG Counselling 2026” under the Candidate Activity Board.

Step 4: You will be redirected to a new page. Fill in the required details to complete the registration.

Step 5: Log in to the page if you’re already a registered candidate by entering your NEET UG Roll number and password.

Step 6: If you’re registering for the first time, then click on the “New Candidate Registration”. Now fill the application form by providing the required details, including NEET UG 2026 information, personal details, contact details and other information asked in the registration form.

Step 5: Select the counselling type and upload the list of scanned documents required. 

Step 6: Pay the registration and security deposit fee through the available online payment options. 

Step 7: After completing registration, candidates can select their preferred MBBS, BDS and other available medical course colleges from the seat matrix. Candidates should arrange their choices as per their preference.

Step 8: Carefully check the selected colleges and courses before locking the choices.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026: List of Documents Required for Registration

Candidates participating in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 need to upload some scanned documents during the registration process. One of the mandatory documents is a clear scanned copy of a cancelled cheque, bank passbook or online bank statement showing the candidate’s bank account details.

The document should be uploaded in PDF format and its file size must be between 20 KB and 500 KB. Students must make sure the scanned document is clear and all the bank details are visible before uploading it.
