The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has commenced the registration period for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET 2026), effective from January 5, 2026. Applicants will soon have the opportunity to fill out and submit their application forms via the designated official portal, cetcell.mahacet.org.
Essential Requirements for Registration
In the course of completing the MHT CET 2026 registration, participants must provide their Aadhaar number along with their APAAR (All-India Pre-Admission Academic Record) ID. Candidates must verify that all particulars associated with their Aadhaar, such as:
Full name,
Date of birth matching the Class 10 certificate,
Current photograph,
Father's name,
Residential address,
Mobile number connected to the Aadhaar is precise and current

MHT CET 2026 Updated Exam Schedule with Two Sessions
The MHT CET 2026 exam would be divided into two sessions from this year onwards, i.e., firstly in April and subsequently in May. The examinations for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics - PCM group are scheduled to be held from April 11 to April 19 and then from May 14 to May 17, while the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology - PCB group tests are set to be conducted from April 21 to April 26 and from May 10 to May 11. Candidates are allowed to appear in either of these sessions or both, and the best result of these attempts will be considered for admission.

MHT CET 2026 Proposed Changes to Fees and Admission Process
The Maharashtra Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) has proposed an increase in the application fee for MHT CET 2026. According to this proposal, a person from the open category may have to pay INR 1300, while a person belonging to the reserved categories may be required to pay INR 1000. Furthermore, the state government has proposed the initiation of a practice or mock Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round from the academic year 2026-27, with the objective of providing convenience to candidates in the admission process.
