MHT CET Application Form 2026: The application form for MHT CET 2026 exam was published by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell on 10 January 2026. MHT CET registration last date 2026 without a late fee was 24 February 2026. However, candidates could do the registration till 27 February 2026 by paying a late fee. Candidates were required to register on the official website (cetcell.mahacet.org), fill in their personal and academic details, upload scanned photographs, signatures, relevant certificates and pay the application fee. The application process was entirely online and after successful payment, candidates had to download and save the confirmation page for future reference. A correction window was also available from 05 to 07 March 2026. At the time of this correction window, applicants had the chance to rectify any errors in their forms.  Also, candidates should carefully check their eligibility before applying. Only those who completed all steps correctly were eligible to receive the MHT CET 2026 admit card and appear for the exam.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell released the MHT CET application form online on 10 January 2026. Applicants were required to complete their registration by 24 February 2026 to avoid a late fee. The application process was conducted exclusively through the official website, where candidates needed to create an account, provide accurate personal and academic information, and select their exam group (PCM or PCB). They also need to upload scanned copies of their recent passport-size photograph, signature and any relevant supporting documents such as category or domicile certificates.

After filling in all required details, applicants had to pay the MHT CET registration fees online using available payment methods like debit/credit cards, net banking, or UPI, and only after successful payment the application was considered complete. Upon submission, candidates were advised to download and securely save the confirmation page and payment receipt for their records. In addition, a correction window was offered from 05 March to 07 March 2026, during which candidates could log in and correct any errors or update details in their submitted application forms.   

How to apply for the MHT CET 2026 exam?

The following are the steps to follow for MHT CET exam registration:

Step 1: Registration

  • To get started, visit the official MHT CET website and click on the registration link.

  • Enter personal details such as full name, parents’ names, gender, date of birth, region, family income, mother tongue, nationality, and a valid mobile number and email address.

  • Create a password as per the instructions.

  • Verify your registration with the OTP sent to your mobile number.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

  • Log in using your application number and password.

  • Enter your domicile (Maharashtra/non-Maharashtra), category, annual family income, caste, PwD status, and EWS status if applicable.

  • Fill in your educational qualifications, including Class 10 and 12 details.

  • Choose your exam group (PCM/PCB/both), preferred language for the question paper (English, Marathi, Urdu), and preferred exam center.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

  • Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format (5–50 KB).

  • Upload identity proof and other relevant certificates (such as caste certificate, if applicable) in the specified format and size.

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

  • Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.

  • The fee structure was INR 1000 for General category candidates (including OMS and J&K Migrants) and INR 800 for reserved category and PwD candidates from Maharashtra. A late fee of INR 500 is applied if registering after the regular deadline.

Step 5: Confirmation and Printout

  • After successful payment, a confirmation page is displayed.

  • Download and print the confirmation page and the filled application form for your records. This will be required during admission and counselling.

Step 6: Correction Window

  • If needed, use the correction window (5-7 March 2026) to edit any errors in your application form by logging in with your credentials.

Documents Required for MHT CET Registration

  • Class 10th Mark Sheet (for entering date of birth and roll number)

  • Class 12th Mark Sheet (for academic details)

  • Aadhaar Card (for personal details and address)

  • Proof of Date of Birth (if not mentioned in the 10th mark sheet)

  • Address Proof (if required separately)

  • Category/Caste Certificate (if applying under reserved category)

  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

  • Valid Mobile Number and Email ID (for registration and communication)

  • Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking Details (for online fee payment)

  • Scanned Passport-size Photograph (as per specifications)

  • Scanned Signature (as per specifications)

  • Identity Proof (such as Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport, as required)

MHT CET Correction Window 2026

The MHT CET correction window was opened on 05 March till 07 March 2026, allowing candidates to adjust their submitted information as needed. During this timeframe, applicants could access the official website to update information such as their name, date of birth, photograph, signature, gender, and chosen exam group. No modifications were permitted beyond this period, so candidates were advised to carefully verify and finalize their information within the given dates. This correction phase was important to ensure that all applications were accurate. Candidates with error-free forms were only to download their admit cards and take the MHT examination.
