The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main 2026 application form correction date for Session 1 on its website. The Joint Entrance Examination Main 2026 application form correction window will open for two days on 1 and 2 December 2025. Candidates who have registered for the JEE Main Session 1 exam can check their details entered in the form, and if needed, they can edit some of their details. 

However, the authority allows editing or modifying only some of the details, not all. This year, the authority will allow applicants to edit their identity details (if not chosen Aadhaar) and State Code of Eligibility as well. The JEE Main 2026 registration last date for session 1 is November 27, 2025, and it will not be extended. The JEE Main session 1 exam will be conducted between 21 - 30 January 2026.

The National Testing Agency has announced that the JEE Main 2026 application form correction window for session 1 will be open on 1 and 2 December 2025, as stated on the official website. What Correction Can Be Made In JEE Main 2026?

The JEE Main 2026 correction window for both sessions will be made available on the official website. Candidates can modify their application form at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026. The list of details that can be edited is provided below.

Candidates shall be allowed to change any one of the fields:

  • Candidate Name 

  • Father Name 

  • Mother Name

Candidates shall be allowed to change all the fields:

  • Class 10th/equivalent details

  • Class 12th/equivalent details

  • State Code of Eligibility

Candidates shall be allowed to change examination Cities

  • Examination City Selection

  • Medium of the examination

Candidates shall be allowed to change all the fields:

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender 

  • Category

  • Sub-category/PwD(If not verified by UDID Portal) 

  • Signature

Candidates shall be allowed to add the field:

  • Paper

  • Identity Details: If the candidate's chosen Identity is other than Aadhaar

Details Can’t be Edited

Even though there are some fields that are not allowed to be changed in the JEE Main application form. 

Candidates shall not be allowed to change:

  • Mobile Number 

  • E-Mail Address

  • Address (Permanent and Present)

  • Emergency Contact details

  • Photograph of the candidate
