The National Testing Agency has officially announced the extension of the registration period for the Common Management Admission Test 2026 exam. As a consequence, all the management aspirants now have ample time for the application for this entrance exam. The application period was initially scheduled to end on 17 November 2025, but candidates can now submit their applications online until 24 November 2025 at 11:50 PM.

In addition to the longer registration period, the deadline for the successful final transaction of application fees has also been extended to 25 November 2025. In addition, candidates who have already submitted their applications will have access to a correction window from 26 to 28 November to make any changes to their application details.

Applicants can apply for CMAT 2026 by going to the official CMAT website. To do the registration, they need to fill in all required personal and educational details, pay the application fee online and submit the application form.

The NTA has revised the key dates for the CMAT 2026 application process as follows:

CMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility requirements for the CMAT exam 2026 that an aspiring candidate must meet to apply for the exam:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years) or equivalent from a recognized university or AICTE-approved institute.

  • Final year students awaiting results can apply if the results are declared before admission.

  • No minimum marks required to appear for CMAT; passing graduation is sufficient.

  • Colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate for the general category and 45% for the reserved categories at admission.

  • No upper age limit or age restriction to appear for the exam.

  • Work experience is not mandatory.

  • Candidates must indicate their category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD) correctly; changes not allowed post submission.

  • Reservations as per government norms apply for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD candidates.

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can apply; foreign nationals should check individual college policies.

How to Apply for the CMAT 2026 Exam?

Candidates can apply for CMAT 2026 via the official website cmat.nta.nic.in.The application process includes:

Step 1: Firstly, go to the official registration portal of CMAT and tap on the New Registration option to register yourself. However, if you have already registered, you can log in straight away using your Application Number and Password.

Step 2: Now, after the registration is done, you are required to fill the application form with all the required details and upload scanned images of your signature, photograph, and other documents.

Step 3: Once the application form is filled out, you have to pay the required examination fee using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, etc. 

Step 4: Lastly, review your complete application and submit the form.

The fee for the CMAT 2026 application is given below for all categories and candidates can pay the fee online via net banking, debit/credit cards, and UPI. Applicants should also know that the fee paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.

CMAT 2026 Correction Window for Application Details

Those applicants who have already sent in their CMAT 2026 application forms will be able to correct and update their information from November 26 to 28, 2025. The three-day correction period gives the applicants a chance to check their data and get it corrected and completed before the exam process starts. 

What Can Be Corrected During the Window?

Candidates can make corrections to several key fields, including:

  • Candidate's name

  • Parents' names

  • Date of birth

  • Category (General, SC/ST/OBC, etc.)

  • PwD status

  • Exam centers (choice of test locations)
