The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is set to begin its UG, PG, and PhD counselling process on September 2, 2025. This comes approximately two months after the declaration by the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the CUET UG results back on July 4, 2025. As per the official notification, the registrations will remain open for a duration of a week. In addition to this, it has been revealed that the rank list will be released in the third week of September and that seat allotment round 1 and reporting to college is expected somewhere between September 15, 2025, to September 17, 2025.

Initially, the admission process was set to commence by July 31, 2025, but due to a lag in acquiring candidates from the NTA. Additionally, the requests from various state agricultural universities and deemed institutions for an extension contributed to the lag. ICAR is responsible for filling 20% of seats in state agricultural universities, 20% in central universities such as Visva-Bharati and BHU, and 100% in central and deemed agricultural universities.
