The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has made the dates of the test for CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses public and the exams will take place in May 2026. It has been mentioned in the official notification that the exams will only be held if a sufficient number of candidates take the test.
Students can fill out their exam applications through the ICAI’s Self Service Portal or online at eservices.icai.org. The registration period will be available from March 3 to March 16, 2026, and there will also be a provision for submitting an application with a late fee until March 19, 2026. Candidates will be permitted to make corrections to their forms during the period from March 20 to March 22, 2026.
ICAI CA Exam Dates and Timings
As per the announced schedule, CA Final Group 1 exams will be held on May 2, 4, and 6, 2026, while Group 2 exams will take place on May 8, 10, and 12, 2026. The CA Intermediate Group 1 exams are scheduled for May 3, 5, and 7, 2026, and Group 2 for May 9, 11, and 13, 2026. The CA Foundation exams will be conducted on May 14, 16, 18, and 20, 2026.
Exam durations differ by paper. Foundation Papers 1 and 2 will run from 2 pm to 5 pm, while Papers 3 and 4 will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. Intermediate and Final Papers 1 to 5 will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm, and Final Paper 6 will continue until 6 pm.
Except for Foundation Papers 3 and 4, candidates will be provided with a 15-minute reading time from 1:45 pm to 2 pm. Students may choose to write the examinations in either English or Hindi.

ICAI CA Examination Fees
The exam fee varies depending on the course level and examination centre. For the Intermediate Course, candidates appearing at Indian centres must pay INR 1500 for a single group/unit (excluding Unit 2) and INR 2700 for both groups. At overseas centres (except Thimphu and Kathmandu), the fee is USD 325 for a single group/unit and USD 500 for both. Candidates appearing in Thimphu (Bhutan) and Kathmandu (Nepal) will be charged INR 2200 for a single group/unit and INR 3400 for both.
For the Final Course, the fee at Indian centres is INR 1800 for one group and INR 3300 for both groups. Overseas candidates (excluding Thimphu and Kathmandu) must pay USD 325 for a single group and USD 550 for both. At Thimphu and Kathmandu centres, the fee is INR 2200 for a single group and INR 4000 for both. The Foundation Course has a uniform fee irrespective of groups. Candidates appearing in India must pay INR 1500, while those at overseas centres (excluding Thimphu and Kathmandu) are required to pay USD 325. The fee for Thimphu and Kathmandu centres is INR 2200.
