The official notification for the selection of Probationary Officers and Management Trainee (PO/MT) has been released by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) today, 1 July 2025. Interested candidates have till 21 July, 2025 to apply on the official IBPS website. There are a total of 5,208 vacancies that are to be filled across 11 public sector banks throughout the country. The entire registration and payment process will take place in the online mode.
There have also been some changes made to the exam pattern for both the prelims and mains exam. The mains exam will now consist of 145 questions with a total of 200 marks. There will now be a bigger emphasis on areas like data interpretation, awareness about banking, etc. Additionally, from now on there will be a sectional time limit in the mains exam.

How To Apply For IBPS PO 2025?
Given here is a guide on how to complete the registration process successfully:
Step 1: Visit the official IBPS website - ibps.in.
Step 2: Click on the link that says ‘Apply online for PO/MT.’
Step 3: Click on newregistration and complete the process by entering basic details.
Step 4: Log in using the credentials sent to the email and phone number to access the application form.
Step 5: Fill out the application form by giving the academic details in the required fields.
Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of the documents.
Step 7: Make the application fee payment through online methods like UPI, net banking, etc. The application fee is INR 175 for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates and INR 850 for the general category.
Step 8: Submit the form after reviewing it and keep the printout for future use.
Eligibility Criteria For IBPS PO 2025
To fulfill the eligibility criteria, candidates’ age must be between the range of 20-30 years old as of 1 July, 2025. There will be a relaxation of the upper age limit for the reserved category candidates. The applicants are also required to have a graduation degree (of any discipline) from a recognized institution.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, candidates must also have a good credit history at the time of joining the bank. This minimum credit score will be set as per the individual banks’ policies. If a candidate fails to meet the requirement, the letter of offer may be withdrawn.
