COMEDK UGET 2026 Registration Update: Deadline Extended Till March 23

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has once again extended the registration deadline for the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026. This extension has given a much-needed breath of fresh air to many candidates who missed registering in the past. According to the latest update, the candidates can register themselves for the COMEDK UGET 2026 entrance examination by March 23, 2026, up to 4 pm through the official website. 

The decision to extend the deadline for registration is made by the authorities after analysing the situation. As per the reports, there were many students who wanted to buy some extra time and have now been rewarded with the additional time to complete the application process. This is beneficial for the candidates who meet the eligibility criteria set by the examination authority. The candidates are required to submit their forms through the online mode by completing the form with personal information, academic details, and their contact details. To support their forms, the candidates are also guided to upload their supporting documents and pay the application fee.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is a computer-based examination that will be conducted on the 9th of May 2026. This examination is carried out for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the top 16 medical institutes, 24 dental institutes, and approximately 150 engineering colleges. 

COMEDK UGET 2026 Important Dates 

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will be examining admission to various courses and domains at the different colleges/institutes on the 9th of May 2026.

The students are guided to refer to the table below to be informed about the dates for the various events related to the examination:

Eligibility Criteria for the COMEDK UGET 2026 Examination

• The examination will be carried out in a computer-based mode. 

• It is the entrance checkpoint for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the 16 medical colleges, 24 dental colleges, and 150 engineering colleges

• The entrance test will be conducted in more than 200 cities and around 400 centres in India, according to the official reports.

• Candidates belonging to India and the candidates belonging to the category of the Person of Indian Origin are eligible to apply for the entrance examination.

• The candidates must have completed their class 12th with at least 45% marks in the subject combination, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.

• The candidates belonging to the reserved categories will have a relaxation of around 5% in the eligibility criteria.

Documents Format for the COMEDK UGET 2026 Examination

The candidates who are aiming to register themselves for the COMEDK entrance examination 2026 must take note of the following list of documents required at the time of registration:

• Marsheet of Class 10th.

• Identity Proof like Aadhar Card, Pan Card or Passport of the candidate as well as the parents.

• Signature of the applicant on the white piece of paper.

• The parent's signature of the applicant on the white piece of paper.

• Category Certificate, if applicable.

• Domicile Certificate of Karnataka.
