CLAT 2026 Exam Dates Announced: Registration Opens From 1 August 2025

The consortium of NLU has released the official CLAT 2026 exam notification. According to the notification, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the evening from 2-4 PM. The registration process for the exam will begin from August 1, 2025 and will go on till October 31, 2025. Candidates should also keep in mind that the CLAT PG application form will also be available from August 1, 2025.
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is responsible for conducting the CLAT 2026. It is a national-level entrance exam for admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses across twenty-two different NLUs in India. The application window for the CLAT exam is going to open from August 1, 2025, and will close on October 31, 2025, with registration being done at the official website of CLAT 2026.
Candidates interested in applying for the exam must meet the specific eligibility criteria based on their category and academic background. The application fee for the exam is INR 4000 for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/ PIO/ OCI candidates and INR 3500 for SC/ ST/BPL candidates. For students who want to get the previous year's question papers are required to pay an extra of INR 500.

Steps To Fill the Application Form
Step 1: Candidates eager to give the CLAT 2026 are required to fill out the application form on the official platform consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Find the link for New Registration on the website and click on it.
Step 3: Enter details like the name of the candidate, date of birth, contact details, and other necessary details to register for the exam.
Step 4: In order to complete the application form, candidates should fill out all the other important details like personal and communication details, academic details, exam centre and NLU preference.
Step 5: Pay the application fee in order to complete the application form.
Step 6: Candidates should take a printout of the application form for future use.
