Chitkara University Signs MoU With York University for Global 2+2 Computer Science Pathway

Chitkara University in India has now signed an MoU agreement with York University, Canada in order to address the 2+2 Computer Science (CS) program to boost global academic learning among the students of India and abroad. This program will enable students to commence their studies in India and complete their degrees in Canada.

The MoU was held in Chitkara University on behalf of York University. The agreement was signed by Dr. Rhonda LentonPresident and Vice-Chancellor of York University, and on the other hand, Dr. Madhu ChitkaraPro-Chancellor of Chitkara University, signed the global collaboration agreement.

What is the 2+2 Computer Science Model?

According​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ to the program, students are required to study the initial two years of the Computer Science B.Eng. (BE) at Chitkara University and will be allowed to pay local tuition fees in India. After the fee submission in Chitkara University, they will be able to transfer their credits to York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering to finish the last two years of the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science

 

Key Date: Apply Now for Admissions to the September 2026 Session

Duration: 4 Years (First 2 Years at Chitkara University, next 2 Years at York University)

Eligibility: Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with a min.65% aggregate and 65% in Mathematics
