This scholarship is designed to support meritorious girl students who are the only children of their parents. It provides financial assistance to encourage them to continue their education at the senior secondary level. The scheme covers both fresh applicants who passed Class 10 in 2025 and renewal applicants who received the scholarship in 2024. Schools must also complete the verification of applications by the same date.

To be eligible for the scholarship application, the candidate should comply with the following conditions:
The only girl child of her parents, the student must be.
She should have scored a minimum of 70% in the Class 10 CBSE Board Exam.
She must be a student of Class 11 or 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school.
The school tuition fee should be less than or equal to INR 1,500 per month.
Scholarship Benefits
The grant is offering a monthly amount of 1,000 Indian Rupees for a duration of two years at most. The monetary aid is designed to lessen the cost of the school fees and to encourage the continuation of education among female students.

Steps to Apply For the Scholarship
Below are the steps to fill out the CBSE Scholarship form online:
Step 1- Visit the official CBSE website: First, you should try to find the information on the official Central Board of Secondary Education website. There you can locate the cbseit.in/cbse/2025/sgcx/default.aspx.
Step 2- Log in with credentials: Logging in should be done with your Class X credentials. If you type the Class X roll number and your date of birth correctly, you will be able to access the application form.
Step 3- Fill in the application form
Students need to provide their identity proof, educational details and other personal, academic, and school details etc.
Make sure of the accuracy of the data before entering because if the information is incorrect, it may lead to your application getting rejected.
Step 4- Upload required documents
Recent photograph
First quarterly fee slip of the current academic year
Income certificate (if applicable)
Bank passbook first page (showing account details)
Step 5- Submit the application
Once the student is finished uploading all the documents, press Final Submit to submit the application.
There will be a generation of application numbers for your application. The confirmation page should be kept for your reference by either saving or printing it.
Step 6- School verification
The online verification of the application by the student’s school is necessary before the deadline.
It is mandatory to get verification, otherwise, the application will remain incomplete.
What happens after filling the Scholarship Form?
Once the online form of the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship is completed, students are advised to download and print the confirmation page that is generated after the submission of the form. The confirmation page is really important, as it has the application number, which will be needed for any kind of communication or reference in the future.
The following step is school verification, thus, the student’s school will log in and verify the details online before the cut-off date. The submission of the form without this verification will not lead to acceptance of the application. After verification, CBSE will scrutinise the applications and issue the list of selected candidates on its official website.
