CAT 2025 Important Date Updates: Official Dates Released, Know How To Apply

The CAT 2025 registrations for one of the most widely accepted management entrances of India have started from August 1 onwards and will go on till September 13. For this year, the exam is scheduled to be held on November 30, 2025.  The candidates will have to register through the official website at iimcat.ac.in for being admitted to the Indian Institutes of Management.

The Common Admission Test is one of the most important and competitive examinations. This year, around 3,00,000 candidates are estimated to appear in the exam. CAT is not only accepted by the IIMs but also by over fifteen hundred other non-IIM colleges.

Steps to Apply for the CAT Exam 2025

Find the steps for applying for the CAT 2025, which is to be held on November 30, 2025. 

Step 1: Go to the CAT Exam 2024 official website @ iimcat.ac.in. 

Step 2: Go to the Homepage and click on ‘New Registration’, and register oneself with the required details like Full name, valid phone number, email address and the date of birth. 

Step 3: Verify the credentials by receiving an OTP and save the received login details. 

Step 4: Complete the application process by filling out the details such as personal, professional and academic details.

Step 5: Choose the top IIMs and courses of preference, along with up to six test city centres.

Step 6: Check and review the application before submitting. Complete the application by paying the applicable application fee.

What Happens Next?

The registration for CAT 2025 begins on August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and will end on September 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM for applicants to complete and submit their CAT application. Acceptable admit cards will be issued on November 5, 2025, after which candidates will want to download and print a copy of their admit card. It is necessary to keep important details about the exam centre and exam timing handy and present it on the day of the exam. The exam will occur on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Results will be released in early January 2026, and the MBA entrance process will be over.
