Uttarakhand NEET PG 2025: Round 1 Registration Started for MD/MS at HNBUMU

Uttarakhand NEET PG 2025 Round 1 Registration Begins.webp

Aspirants to MD and MS in Uttarakhand now have a critical deadline to remember. The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has announced the registration dates for NEET PG 2025 counselling Round 1. Applications can be made online up to 5 p.m. on November 9, 2025.

Counselling is conducted for MD/MS programmes in the state of Uttarakhand, and students are encouraged to complete the registration process. The portal can be found on the official site of HNBUMU.

Fee Payment and Counselling Timeline

During registration, candidates will be charged a registration fee of INR 6,500, which can be made through credit card, debit card, or net banking. In the case of applicants who choose under the NRI category, the fee increases to INR 10,000, and an extra non-refundable deposit of INR 2,00,000. These charges should be online during the registration period.

After the registration is closed on November 9, the university will release the merit list on November 10. After this, the portal will be open to choice filling and seat locking between November 10 and 12, where the candidates will be able to specify preferred colleges and courses. The seat allotment process will be done between November 13 and 14, and the round 1 allotment results will be announced on November 15. Students will be required to report to the college and complete admission formalities before November 20.

PwBD Category - Notable Observation

In case of the candidates who are applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category, the disability certificate must be issued by a centre approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

This is the initial round of a series of counselling. Further rounds will be announced in the future, depending on the availability of seats and the status of the earlier rounds. Applicants who fail to meet the Round 1 deadline still have a chance in later rounds; however, Round 1 provides the first opportunity to preferred programmes and centres.

Now, this is a very important window for aspirants of postgraduate medical education in Uttarakhand. The seats of MD and MS are scarce and very competitive, and the registration must be timely. In addition, early involvement provides the candidates with greater flexibility in choice-filling and course and college selection before the pool becomes narrow.

What Candidates Should Do

  • Go to the HNBUMU site and make sure that you are eligible.

  • Register online and fill out the form by the deadline (Nov 9, 5 p.m.).

  • Prepare all the required documents and documents such as NEET PG 2025 rank, category certificate (where applicable), PwBD certificate (where applicable), etc.

  • Following registration, check the provisional merit list on November 10 and be prepared for choice filling between 10 to 12 November.

  • After seat allotment is announced on November 15, report to the allotted college and formalities by November 20.

  • Otherwise, not given or disposed to inquire, keep watch of future rounds.

Concisely, Round 1 of Uttarakhand NEET PG counselling 2025 is open, but not for long. Applicants who are interested must move with speed to ensure that they stand the best chance of getting MD/MS admissions through HNBUMU.
