The Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER) has officially released the notification regarding the JEEP 2026 (Joint Entrance Examination of Polytechnic) exam registration schedule. According to the schedule, the registration for JEEP 2026 will start from 15 January and continue till to 15 April 2026. The eligible candidates can process their registration application through online mode at the official website.
The UBTER board will also release the offline registration through OMR-based from 2nd February 2026. Candidates who want to register through offline mode can collect the JEEP application form from an authorized polytechnic institute and submit it in person by the last date, 15 April.
Uttarakhand JEEP 2026 Exam Purpose
The JEEP examination serves as the gateway for enrollment into diploma programs encompassing engineering, technology, textile design, garment technology, fashion design, and pharmacy. These programs are available at government polytechnics, women’s institutes, rural facilities, aided institutions, and private polytechnic colleges that hold affiliation with UBTER. Individuals aiming to enter the second year of the diploma in engineering via lateral entry must successfully clear the Uttarakhand JEEP diploma entrance test.
Uttarakhand JEEP 2026: Eligibility Requirements
For Group E and T - Covering Diploma in engineering, technology, textile design, garment technology, and fashion design, applicants need to have completed their high school examination or its equivalent.
For Group P - Diploma in pharmacy, eligible candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination featuring Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics, or an examination deemed equivalent.
For Group A - Lateral entry admission to the second year of Diploma in engineering, candidates are required to have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or a vocational/technical subject, or to have finished a two-year ITI course.
Directed Admission in a Few Selected Polytechnic Courses
Admission to a number of courses in JEEP 2026 will only be based on merit of the qualifying examination. These courses are:
Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practices (Group D).
Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Group H).
Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (Group G).
Candidates who want to take admission to these programmes must meet the eligibility criteria set out by the Board.
