The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the application window for the CTET February exam, and it will be open until 11:59 PM on December 30, 2025. CBSE has stated that this is the only chance that candidates will have to finish their application forms. The correction window will not be available again after the last submission. Moreover, the Board has communicated that fresh entries will be disallowed at the time of this reopening of the application session.
The CBSE reportedly found that more than 161,000 applications were left incomplete on the online registration portal, and therefore, final submissions were not made. To ensure these candidates register for the CTET 2026 exam, CBSE has given them a last chance to complete their forms.
Moreover, the Board disclosed that the online application process for the 21st edition of the CTET started on November 27, 2025, and ended on December 18, 2025. During this time, a total of 25,30,581 candidates have successfully submitted their applications. Of these, 3,53,218 candidates submitted their applications on the second-to-last day, while 4,14,981 candidates applied on the final day.
