The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) has declared the final result of the Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination (I) 2025 on October 10, 2025. According to the order released, there are 365 (227 IMA + 103 INA + 35 AFA) candidates who have qualified in the exam held in April 2025, followed by the SSB interviews. Candidates who appeared in the written exam and SSB interview can check the merit list on the official UPSC website.
The selected candidates can proceed for admission to the 160th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course, i.e., No. 219 F(P) Course.
The commission initially selected 2560, 942, and 636 candidates after the written test evaluation for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy, respectively. The final number of qualified candidates is determined after the SSB test conducted by the Army Headquarters.

Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website https://upsc.gov.in/

Step 2: Look for the What’s New section on the right side of the screen.
Step 3: Click on the link with the title “Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2025”.
Step 4: On the next page, click on the PDF link.

Step 5: Check the Roll No and Name in the list and download the result merit list doc.

However, the commission didn't consider the Medical results for preparing this merit list of selected candidates in the CDS (I) Examination result.
The commission stated that the verification of the date of birth and educational qualifications of the qualifying candidates is to be conducted at the Army Headquarters. Therefore, the candidature of these candidates is provisional, and they are requested to submit their original certificates, along with attested photocopies, to the Army Headquarters, Naval Headquarters, or Air Headquarters according to their first choice, to support the claims of their date of birth and educational qualifications.
