The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to begin the UGC NET June 2025 examination today (25 June 2025), marking the start of a five-day nationwide assessment for eligibility as Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across hundreds of centres in India, and it will cover 85 subjects in total.
The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be held in two shifts daily, the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. the exam consists of two papers and both papers are of objective-type multiple-choice questions, with a total of 150 questions to be attempted in three hours.
The UGC NET is a very important examination for postgraduate students and researchers aiming to pursue academic careers in Indian universities and colleges. It is conducted twice a year and is considered one of the most competitive national-level eligibility tests in the country.

Things To Keep In Mind On The Examination Day
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card, a valid photo ID, and a passport-size photograph.
Candidates should reach the exam centre at least 45 minutes before the closing of the gate.
Candidates should wear simple, non-metallic clothing, and they should also avoid any jewellery.
A transparent water bottle and ballpoint pens are only allowed inside the examination centre.
Any type of electronic devices, bags, books, or any unauthorised paper will not be permitted inside the examination centre.
Follow all the instructions given to them by the invigilator.
Fill the OMR sheet carefully.
Stay calm during the exam and manage your time smartly.
