The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revealed the subject-wise schedule for UGC NET 2025 December session on December 17 via its official portal. According to the statement, the UGC NET 2025 exam will take place from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, while the exam schedule was shared for both shifts and subject-wise. The first day, December 31, will feature testing in various disciplines such as Law, Social Work, Telugu, Tourism Administration and Management, etc. and some more subjects during the first shift time from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Besides, the Authority has also announced that the UGC NET city intimation slip will be dispatched 10 days before the date of each test.
UGC NET 2025 December Exam Pattern
The UGC NET December 2025 session will be held online and will contain two papers. Paper 1 is the same for all candidates and will entail 50 multiple-choice questions with 100 marks. Paper 2 will be subject-specific and will feature 100 multiple-choice questions across 85 subjects for 200 marks in total. The entire paper will last for three hours (180 minutes). Candidates will get two marks for every correctly answered question, without any negative marking for wrong answers. The English and Hindi versions will be available for both papers.
