The exam date for RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 2025 has been formally announced by the regional Railway Recruitment Boards. This is definitely good news for candidates who have been anxiously waiting for the next stage of the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) - UG recruitment CEN 06/2024. The RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 exam is scheduled for December 20, 2025, and all the candidates who have cleared the 1st stage of the examination will be allowed to appear for the same.
The declaration of the date for the second stage of the examination comes as a result of the first stage results announcement time which has been set for November 21, 2025. This year, a total of 51,979 candidates have been shortlisted to appear for CBT 2 to secure recruitment in one of the most sought-after categories under the Indian Railways.
Exam City and Date Intimation Release Date
RRBs have confirmed that the exam city and date intimation link will be activated 10 days before the exam. This link will allow candidates to check:
On the same day, travel authority passes for eligible SC/ST candidates will also be made available. Candidates belonging to these categories can use this authority for free travel by train to their allotted exam centers. The document can be downloaded only from the respective regional RRB websites.
RRB NTPC CBT 2 Admit Card Date 2025
After checking their exam city details, candidates will be able to download the RRB NTPC CBT 2 admit card (also known as the e-call letter) four days prior to the exam date. The RRBs have strictly instructed candidates to download the admit card only through the official websites, as no physical admit cards will be sent via post. The admit card will contain:
Candidate name and personal details
Exam city, centre, date and shift
Reporting time and exam-day guidelines
Instructions on valid ID proofs
Candidates are reminded that the RRB Group D admit card hall ticket, and NTPC admit cards follow similar download rules, and all documents must be verified carefully to avoid discrepancies on exam day.
RRB NTPC CBT 2 Verification Process
To strengthen the integrity of the recruitment process, the Railway Recruitment Boards have made Aadhaar-based biometric authentication compulsory at the test centres. Candidates must have their thumb impression and photograph verified before they will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
Some of the main Aadhaar-related regulations are:
Having the original Aadhaar card or a printout of the e-Aadhaar
Making sure that the Aadhaar number is not locked on the UIDAI portal
In case Aadhaar verification was done at the time of registration, it should still be unlocked on the day of the exam, so that there are no waiting times
It has been made clear by RRB that candidates whose Aadhaar verification is not successful will not be given the permission to take the exam.
