The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced some student-friendly changes for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. Usually, the NEET UG entrance exam lasts 180 minutes (3 hours), but now the exam time has been increased from 180 minutes to 195 minutes.
The decision to extend the duration of NEET UG Re-Exam has been taken to provide additional time to many aspirants and educators who had been seeking additional time due to the length and difficulty level of the examination. The additional 15 minutes are expected to give candidates more time to attempt questions and review their answers before submitting the paper.
NTA will conduct NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 on 21st June 2026 from 2 PM to 5:15 PM, and applicants who are seeking admission in the undergraduate programmes like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH offered by institutions across the country will appear for the NEET-RE Exam. NEET UG RE-Exam 2026: More Rough Sheets to Be Provided
In addition to the extra duration in the NEET-UG Re Exam 2026, the NTA has also decided to provide more rough sheets within the question paper booklet. The additional rough will help the aspirants to solve Physics and Chemistry questions that involve calculations and detailed working.
At the request of applicants, the NTA has taken to add more rough sheets in the answer booklet so that Candidates can have more space to perform rough work without worrying about running out of sheets during the examination.
Previously, students received rough sheets at the end of the answer booklet, but under this new arrangement, two rough-work pages will be placed immediately after the instruction page, and the remaining two pages will be found at the end of the booklet. This changed format has been introduced in both the English and regional language versions of the question paper.
