NEET UG 2026 Examination on May 3; NTA Updates On Biometrics Verification, Exam Day Deadlines and More: Details Here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 on May 3, 2026. As shared by NTA the examination preparations are underway to ensure the exam is held smoothly across all centres.

However, NTA will take the examination under the AI-based surveillance, aimed at preventing any form of misuse. NTA is regularly providing updates related to NEET UG 2026, including the secure distribution of question papers, enhanced security arrangements, and a strict zero paper leak policy.

On the given exam day, all the candidates have to follow specific guidelines. This includes Aadhaar-based authentication at the examination centres to verify identity. In addition, certain documents will be compulsory, such as the NEET 2026 self-declaration form. The purpose of this strict policy is to ensure the exam is conducted in a fair, transparent, and secure manner for all candidates. 

NEET UG 2026: Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the examination are required to follow all the NTA NEET 2026 exam day Guidelines. The guidelines provide by the NTA are as mentioned below 

NEET UG 2026 Biometric Verification Case 

Candidates must undergo biometric verification after completing security checks at their NEET exam centre. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has defined some exceptions to this rule for cases where candidates cannot get their biometric verification completed, including those cases where:

• The technology or hardware fails to complete verification

• The quality or clarity of the candidate's biometrics prevent them from being able to be properly completed

• Connection problems with the UIDAI system

• The physical condition of the candidate prevents them from being able to provide biometric data

If a candidate has an exception and is not able to get their biometric verification completed, they must fill out a NEET Undertaking Form, which will be available at the examination centre. 

NEET UG 2026:Self Declaration Form

All candidates must have an original, printed self-declaration form to get entry to the NEET 2026 examination centre. This form is also referred to as an undertaking form. Candidates must complete this form as per the published instructions to ensure no issues arise on examination day.

As candidates are advised to follow the given steps to check how to fill out the form:

Step 1: Download the NEET UG admit card.

Step 2: Make a single print copy.

Step 3: Complete the application form by filling out the personal details such as personal details on the self-declaration form.

Step 4: Attach both a passport-size and postcard size photo of yourself with the completed self-declaration form.

Step 5: Sign and provide your left thumbprint on the completed self-declaration form.

Candidates should bring all the pages of their NEET 2026 along with their completed self-declaration form to the examination centre.
