The Karnataka Examinations Authority has begun the 2025 counseling process. They have opened the portal for option entry and the final seat matrix for the candidates. Eligible candidates can now visit the official KEA website to access the latest updates and begin submitting their college and course preferences. The open entry link for the KCET 2025 counselling is now active, thereby providing registered candidates the opportunity to choose their desired institutions and academic programs.

Additionally, KEA has also published the final seat matrix, which gives the number of available seats across the participating engineering, agriculture, and other professional colleges in Karnataka. To enter options, candidates must scan the QR code that is provided in the verification slip that is available on the KEA portal.

According to the seat matrix given by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, there are over 77 thousand seats that are available to the candidates for seat allotment in the first round of KCET BTech counselling. Furthermore, there are 3,350 seats reserved for agriculture admission, which offers students a wide range of options to choose from. 

Steps For Candidates To Fill the Option Entry

Below are the steps through which candidates can fill in the option entry:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of KEA: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in

  • Step 2: Click on the KCET counselling 2025 option entry link that is displayed on the official website. 

  • Step 3: A new page opens up, and the candidates will have to enter their registration details.  

  • Step 4: Click on submit and log in to the account.

  • Step 5: Now fill in the options and click on ‘Submit.’

  • Step 6: Once candidates receive the confirmation page, they need to download it for future purposes.

  • KCET Rank Card

  • Class 10 & 12th Marksheets

  • Aadhar Card 

  • Income and Caste Certificate

  • Kannada Medium/ Rural Study Certificate (if applicable)

  • NCC/Sports/ Defence Certificate (if any)
