NID DAT 2027 Registration: The National Institute of Design (NID) has started the registration process for the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) 2027. Students who are interested in pursuing the B.Des and five-year M.Des Integrated Pathway programmes for the 2027-28 academic session at any campus of NID across India need to complete registration before 30th November 2026, at 11:59 PM. 

Applicants are advised to complete the registration process within the specified timeline, as the application window will be closed. JID has scheduled the DAT Prelims 2027 for December 20, 2026. Candidates who qualify for the prelims will be eligible to apply for the DAT Mains. Interested and eligible students can complete the registration process by accessing the application forms from the official website, which is https://admissions.nid.edu.

How to register for NID DAT 2027?

The NID DAT 2027 registration process is online and can be completed through the official website. Candidates can follow the step-by-step instructions below to complete their registration smoothly and without hassle.

Step 1: Access the official portal https://admissions.nid.edu. 

Step 2: Select the registration option on the official website and choose the programme, nationality, as well as category.

Step 3: Enter a valid email ID and active mobile number. Verify these details using the OTP provided.

Step 4: Log in using the login credentials sent to the registered email ID, date of birth, and password.

Step 5: Fill the application forms using personal and academic information.

Step 6: Upload the required documents.

Step 7: Check all the information in the application form.

Step 8: Pay the application form fee using the available mode of payment.

Step 9: Submit the completed application and download or print the form for future reference.

NID DAT 2027 Registration Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are willing to complete the registration for the NID DAT 2027 need to meet the eligibility criteria, which are different for M.Des and B.Des programmes. Applicants can check the eligibility requirements below. 

• B.Des: Candidates need to have completed 10+ in any stream from a well-recognised educational board. Applicants appearing in 10+2 in a board exam are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be born on or after 1 July 2006 (General/EWS and Foreign Nationals), 1 July 2003 (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), or 1 July 2001 (PwD) to be eligible for NID DAT 2027.
• M.Des: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a UGC approved university can complete the NIT DAT 2027 registration. In addition to this, candidates must be born on or after 1 July 1995 (General/EWS and Foreign Nationals), 1 July 1992 (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), or 1 July 1990 (PwD).
