The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date for Karnataka NEET UG Counselling registration till 30 July 2026. The extension is for candidates who have appeared for the NEET 2026 exam and are eligible for admission to medical courses across Karnataka. Students who have not yet applied through the KEA portal can visit and complete the Karnataka UG NEET 2026 application process online.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna IAS said that the deadline was extended from 24 July 2026 to 30 July 2026, after receiving requests from various students and parents. The authority also informed candidates that NEET result details have not yet been received. Therefore, students do not need to enter their NEET roll number details immediately. KEA will provide a separate facility for existing applicants to add their NEET roll number once the required details are available.
KEA had earlier started fresh registrations for students seeking admission to Medical, Dental and AYUSH courses in Karnataka for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who missed the UGCET 2026 registration can apply through the UGNEET 2026 registration link available on the KEA website.
Students are requested to complete their KEA UGNEET 2026 counselling registration as soon as possible and not wait until the last date to avoid any last-minute issues. It is also advisable for students to regularly check the official KEA website for updates on the Karnataka NEET Counselling Schedule 2026, document verification dates, NEET roll number linking process and other important updates related to admission.
KEA Announces NEET Roll Number Linking and Document Verification Process
KEA will provide the facility to link NEET roll numbers after receiving the required NEET result details. Through that link, candidates will be able to add their NEET roll number and then the document verification process will start based on the schedule released by KEA.
The eligibility criteria, minimum qualifying marks and category-wise requirements will be as per the guidelines issued by the concerned authorities after the declaration of UGNEET 2026 re-exam results.
Candidates can refer to the Karnataka UGNEET 2026 Information Bulletin before filling the application form. It has important information about eligibility, categories of seats and documents required for different types of seats.
