For MBBS admission, students must have passed Class 12 (PCB) with a minimum of 50% marks and a valid NEET scorecard. 

Admission for all UG and PG programs is open now, and the last date to apply for admission is 30 July 2025. The allocation of seats for admission under all the categories is done through the Karnataka NEET Counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru, offers various programs at the UG and PG levels. However, the eligibility criteria may differ depending on the course. The course-wise eligibility criteria are prescribed below: 

• Students must have passed Class 12 with Science subjects, and a minimum of 50% marks. However, the OBC-3A category and SC/ST students of Karnataka are required to secure at least 40% marks. 

• The candidate should have completed 17 years as on 31st December at the time of admission. 

• Selection to the MBBS program is based on the NEET exam score. 

• For PG courses like MD/MS, students must have passed the MBBS degree from a recognised institution, and have completed one year of Compulsory Rotating Internship in a teaching institution.

Selection for PG courses is based on the NEET PG score.

Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences provides excellent placement opportunities for medical graduates.
