Merit List for Karnataka PGCET 2025

The merit lists for the MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, and M.Arch courses are drawn separately solely on the basis of scores secured in the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and not on the basis of marks secured in the candidates' qualifying exams.

The information bulletin says that if two or more candidates share an equal merit score, then their ranking will be determined based on the aggregate marks scored in their qualifying exam. If those aggregate marks are also equal, then the tie will be resolved by looking into the age of the candidates, giving preference to the senior one.

Tie-breaking criteria for PGCET Result 2025

If two students obtain the same mark in the Karnataka PGCET 2025, their rank will be decided by the Karnataka Examinations Authority based on their marks obtained in the qualifying examination. If those marks are also the same, preference will be given to the older candidate. In the unlikely situation where several candidates get the same PGCET score, qualifying marks, and age, their ranks will be determined through a random lottery.
