National Testing Agency (NTA) has communicated a very significant change for the students who are going to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026Session 1. A two-day correction window is now opened to enable the applicants to edit or change some details in the online application forms.
From December 01-02, 2025 (till 11:50 PM), students are allowed to make corrections to their applications. NTA has announced that no amendments will be allowed beyond this time limit even if there is an emergency.

Important Clarifications by NTA
Examination City Selection: Candidates may change their examination city preferences based on their permanent and present addresses. However, the NTA has clarified “NTA is not bound to follow the choices given by the candidate.” The final allotment will depend on logistical and administrative considerations.
Additional Fees May Apply: If any correction leads to a change in the fee category, candidates must pay the additional fee online using a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Corrections will be applied only after successful fee payment (if applicable).
One-Time Opportunity: The correction window is strictly a one-time facility. Once corrections are submitted:
The form will be frozen.
No further modifications will be permitted.
Requests made after 02 December 2025 (11:50 PM) will not be entertained.
