The Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Advanced is all set to begin the registration process from tomorrow, 23rd of April 2026, sharp at 10 AM. The examination will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. The registration window will be open until the 2nd of May 2026, and the examination is scheduled for the 17th of May 2026. Students who have successfully cleared the JEE Main examination are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced by visiting the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
The examination body charges the application fees from the students registering. The candidates belonging to the general category have to pay an application fee of IR 3,200, and for the female candidates belonging to the general category, along with the candidates belonging to all the other categories like SC, ST, and PwD, the application fee is INR 1,600. The students are advised to complete the registration process on or before the 4th of May 2026.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2026
The examination board has set a certain set of eligibility criteria to select the most deserving and skilled candidates. The eligibility criteria accepted by the examination board are mentioned below for the students to have a look at:
The candidates must hold a rank within 2,50,000 ranks across India in the domain of BE or B.Tech in the JEE Mains 2026 examination.
The international candidates have the privilege to apply directly as well, if they fulfil all the other mentioned eligibility criteria.
The applicant must be born on or after 1st of October 2001. However, the students belonging to the reserved category have a relaxation of five years.
It is to be noted that the candidates can only appear for the JEE Advanced examination twice in two consecutive years.
The applicant must have appeared and completed the Class 12th examination in the year 2025 or 2026 with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
Admit Card of JEE Advanced 2026
The examination authority will be releasing the admit cards of the JEE Advanced 2026 on the 11th of May 2026 at 5 PM on the official website. The students can access the admit cards by logging in to the portal using their login credentials.
The admit cards, once released at the official portal, will have the applicant's photograph, name, roll number, date of birth, application number, category, and signature. It is advised that students cross-check all the details mentioned in the admit card.
