The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, has successfully managed to complete Phase 1 of its campus placement for the 2025-26 batch with a remarkable milestone. As per official figures, more than 250 companies from varied sectors such as tech, consulting, core engineering, etc. made 1,202 offers. Of these, a total of 1,079 offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), were accepted by students.
This success speaks about the excellent industry connections that IIT Kanpur possesses and the faith that recruiters still have in its students. The placement process was held on-campus, online, and as a combination of the two to allow maximum convenience for the recruiters and the students.

What to Expect in Phase-2 Placements
Although Phase 1 has already established high standards, Phase 2 of placements will start in mid-January 2026. The institute also expects more involvement of global recruiters who will provide students with more opportunities in industries.
