IIM Bangalore is one of the most prestigious institutions for MBA in India. The institution secured 2nd position and a score of 81.56 in the NIRF ranking and was positioned 3rd by IIRF with placement performance as 137.57, placement strategy and support as 131.42, teaching resource and pedagogy as 136.85 with an overall score of 939.51. For its latest placement drive, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) invited major leading companies for the recruitment process, which turned out to be fruitful for the college students.

According to the reports, 601 students received offers from 137 organisations for various domains, comprising sales and marketing, general management, consulting, analytics, product management, and finance in the summer placement process organised for the year 2025-2027. Considering management consulting, it marked a remarkable record by accounting for 46% of the placement offers. Further, according to Prof Nishant Kumar Verma, the chairman of career development services, the PGP and PGPBA, which is also known as MBA, delivered splendid results during the placement process. This clearly shows the academic excellence and hard work of students towards their career.

According to the placement reports of 2025, 140 companies were present during the recruitment process, and the total number of students who participated in the summer placement process was 606, out of which 601 students received job offers for several profiles; however, 5 students opted out. In terms of salary prospects, the mean salary was 34.88 LPA, and the median salary was 32.61 LPA. Several recruiters were invited during the placement process, including Accenture Strategy, TATA Consultancy Services, TATA Steel, Google, Amazon, Asian Paints, Microsoft, Zomato, Pine Labs, McKinsey and Company, Aditya Birla Group, Kotak Mahindra Group, American Express, ITC, and many more.

Top Recruiters at IIM Bangalore 2026

Many leading companies were invited to the IIM Bangalore during the placement process. According to the head of the Career Development Services, global recruiters were impressed with the outstanding performance of the students. Further, Management consulting turned out to be the most preferred sector, accounting for 46% of total offers.

As far as companies are concerned, most of the offers came from Accenture Strategy, Boston Consulting Group, and TATA Consultancy Services.
