The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started inviting the application forms for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the January 2026 academic session. The MBA Programme at IGNOU is offered by the School of Management Studies (SOMS) in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Mode and is available in English, Hindi, and Odia for select courses. IGNOU Eligibility for MBA Programme
Candidates enrolling for the IGNOU MBA programme must keep in mind that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the university, as if any candidate fails to do so, their admission might be cancelled. The IGNOU eligibility for MBA is as follows:
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree completed from a well-recognised and approved educational institution.
Minimum Aggregate Marks: General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree and reserved category candidates have a relaxation of 5%, which means such applicants need 45% of marks.
Steps to fill the application form for IGNOU MBA Programme
Candidates who are planning to fill the application form for the IGNOU MBA programme can fill it till 15th February 2026. Candidates are also advised to keep their APAAR ID ready before starting filling the application forms. The steps to fill out the application forms are explained below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU i.e., https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
Step 2: Now, on the home page click on the link of “Click Here for New Registration”.
Step 3: Fill the registration forms and enter all the details like Name, Email Address, Password, Contact Details and more.
Step 4: After filling the registration form, click on 'register' and complete the login.
Step 5: Now, fill the application form and upload all the documents in the required format.
Step 6: Pay the application fee of INR 300 and submit the form.
Step 7: Save the application form and take the printout for future reference.
