GUJCET 2026 Exam Date Announced: Engineering and Pharmacy Aspirants to Appear on March 29

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has formally announced the date for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) in 2026. The date of the test is March 29, 2026. The test will be administered in a single shift from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at several district-level locations throughout Gujarat.

The GSHSEB announced that comprehensive information about the GUJCET 2026 application form and information booklet will soon be available on the official website. When the registration window opens, students can complete the online application. For the most recent information on notifications, test dates, and application requirements, students can visit the official website.

GUJCET Now Mandatory for Engineering and Pharmacy Admissions

GUJCET became mandatory in 2017 for students pursuing admission to degree engineering, degree pharmacy, and diploma pharmacy programs following Class 12 (Science stream), as per the Government of Gujarat's Education Department Resolution No. PARC-102012-S, dated November 19, 2016.

75,558 boys and 62,241 girls were among the 1,37,799 applicants who registered for the GUJCET exam in 2025. On March 23, 2025, the exam was conducted successfully.

GUJCET 2026 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The NCERT syllabus for the science courses of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics in Class 12 will serve as the basis for the GUJCET 2026 exam. In accordance with the Education Department's resolution from October 25, 2017, this syllabus adheres to the academic framework that the Gujarat Board has been using since June 2019. Medium of GUJCET Exam and Courses Covered

Students can select their preferred language when taking the GUJCET 2026 exam because the question paper will be available in Gujarati, English, and Hindi.

Students wishing to enroll in engineering and pharmacy degree programs at government, grant-in-aid, and private colleges throughout Gujarat must take this state-level entrance exam.
