The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Provisional answer key for the CTET 2026 entrance exam on its official website. Candidates who have appeared for the CTET 2026 entrance exam can download the provisional answer key for paper 1 and paper 2 as well as raise objections for the CTET Answer key by paying INR 1,000 per question. Also, candidates can download and challenge the provisional answer key from 12th March 2026 to 15th March 2026 till 11:59 pm. Additionally, the authority conducted the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper 1 examination on 7th February 2026 and 8th February 2026 whereas the paper 2 was held on 1st March 2026 at two examination centres in Bihar. How to Download the CTET 2026 Answer Key?
Candidates who have appeared for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 can access the provisional answer key from the official website. Also for the convenience of the students, the steps for downloading the CTET 2026 answer key are given below.
Step 1: Visit the official portal of CBSE i.e., ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: Now click on the provisional CTET answer key link available in the Candidate activity section on the homepage.
Step 3: After that, complete the login process and enter the roll number as well as the date of birth.
Step 4: The answer key and OMR sheet will appear on the screens.
Step 5: Download the PDF of the answer key and save it for future reference.
Steps to Challenge CTET 2026 Answer Key
If any candidates find any discrepancy in the answer key, they can raise objections and challenge the CTET Answer key 2026 from the official website. To challenge each question, candidates need to pay INR 1000 per question. The steps to raise objections are provided below.
Step 1: Access the official website of CBSE which is ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: On reaching the home page, click on the answer key link.
Step 3: Now log in using the roll number and date of birth.
Step 4: After that, click on the link available for submitting challenges.
Step 5: Select the question to be challenged and go to the ‘Click to Enter Your Answer’ link.
Step 6: Select the correct answer option and click on the ‘Update’ link
Step 7: Finalise the challenge and pay the INR 1,000 per objection fee.
CTET 2026 Qualifying Marks
Candidates seeking admission to the government schools, including KVS, NVS, central Tibetan schools, and schools under the administrative control of UTs of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and NCT of Delhi for classes 1 to 8, need to appear for the CTET entrance exam and score minimum aggregate marks.
