The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to release the provisional CTET Answer Key 2026 for public access soon. Those candidates who participated in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam can access and download the provisional answer key using a direct link provided on the official CBSE CTET portal website. The CTET examination took place over February 7 and 8, 2026. Also the re-examination at two specific centers occurred on March 1, 2026.
The exam sessions were organized into two distinct shifts each day: the morning shift ran from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the afternoon shift operated from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The CBSE CTET exam was conducted in a total of 140 cities across the country to accommodate participants from various regions.
CBSE CTET Objection Process and Guidelines
The CBSE giving an opportunity for candidates to file objections will commence shortly once the answer key becomes live on official website. Both the provisional answer key and the associated objection facility are expected to stay active for a period of 2 to 3 days directly on the official website. To challenge any part of the answer key, participants must submit a non-refundable processing fee amounting to INR 1000 per question raised.
Validity of Answer Key Challenges
Only those objections accompanied by the required payment and submitted within the designated timeframe will receive consideration from the authorities. Any challenges without the fee payment or those forwarded through alternative channels such as email, physical letters, or formal representations, will be considered invalid and they will be discarded.
How to Download CTET 2026 Answer Key
Applicants who have appeared in the CTET exam can download and check the provisional answer key by following the instructions and steps given below:
Step 1 - Visit to the official CTET website ctet.nic.in.
Step 2 - Under the Candidate Activity, click on the CTET Answer Key link.
Step 3 - If asked for a login, enter your application number and password.
Step 4 - The CTET answer key will be available in PDF format on screen.
Step 5 - Download and save the CTET answer key for future reference.
CTET Answer Key Objection Process
The CBSE will very soon live CTET answer key on its website. Any applicant who wants to rise objection to any of the answers can follow the steps below with a valid reason:
Step 1 - Visit to the CTET website https://ctet.nic.in/
Step 2 - Open the View image of OMR Sheet, View and Challenge CTET answer key link.
Step 3 - Provide your application number, DOB, and security pin available on screen.
Step 4 - Choose question(s) from the respective paper you want to raise objections to.
Step 5 - Choose the correct option, provided by uploading the proper justification.
Step 6 - Pay the objection charge of INR 1000 per question via any form of online payment system.
Step 7 - Submit the objection and save for the confirmation page.
