The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the CSIR UGC NET 2025 cut-off marks. Subject-Wise Cut-Off (General Category)
Here is a quick look at the subject-wise cut-off for the General category (JRF):
Earth Sciences: 61.29%
Chemical Sciences: 52.68%
Life Sciences: 51.36%
Mathematical Sciences: 50.04%
Physical Sciences: 51.07%
For Assistant Professor eligibility, the cut-off is slightly lower:
Earth Sciences: 55.16%
Chemical Sciences: 45.68%
Life Sciences: 46.35%
Mathematical Sciences: 48.04%
Physical Sciences: 46.07%
For PhD-only eligibility, the cut-off is lower again, around 36–45% depending on the subject.

This year’s cut-offs show that Earth Sciences continues to have the highest requirement, crossing 61% for JRF. Other subjects, such as Chemistry, Physics, Life, and Mathematics, have cut-offs in the 50% range, which is still highly competitive.
